E-Safety for Students

ICT is an everyday part of people's lives and schools are making increasing use of new technology.

We have a duty of care to protect our students, and we acknowledge that computers and the internet do have the potential for inappropriate use.

At North Shore academy we are committed to the safe use of such technologies both within and outside of the academy, and will take all reasonable steps to minimise risks from inappropriate internet use.

The requirement to ensure that children and young people are able to use the internet and related communications technologies appropriately and safely is addressed in our E-safety policy and the academy will endeavour to ensure the E-safety of all members. We aim to ensure that students are aware of the potential e-safety risks associated with the use of ICT and mobile technologies through dedicated topics in our Life curriculum, assemblies, and celebrating awareness days such as Safer Internet Day.
